Some good stuff and one of my fave NY junk shops revealed.

I made it to NY, and its been busy! My mom is actually doing great with her knee and hobbling around impressively well. I'm not sure how much blogging I will get to squeeze in. I have the kids and they are suddenly super demanding out of their element. I got some finds for you though...
Deal alert via Overstock. Have you check their Worldstock Fair Trade section?  Must do. Here are my favorite rugs of the moment. (Sorry if I am temporarily hung up on rugs.) The above is 5'5"x7"9" and only $182.99. The below Flamingo Rug is 4x5 and $200.99. Just love this one...

I also liked these Daishiki wrap skirts. A super cute beach wrap or with a white tank and sandals. Only $25.99.  I'm also thinking pillows...

Also, I hit the junk shops today, can't name all names, but this one I will divulge. Its on Route 17 in Tuxedo, NY and basically goes by Saturday Junk Shop.  Its loaded and super "durty" and totally lives up to its name. There was so much good stuff there, and I got to it an hour after it opened, so I could only imagine what I missed. Can't give the name of my favorite because my mother will beat me with her walker.

Most of the shops are cash only, and I ran out quick because I gave myself a measly allowance so I wouldn't go nuts. Found some planters for my outdoor herbs, a funky vintage wire pendant, a runner to make into and ottoman cover or pillows
and a side table that will get painted tortoise shell.

I know my husband is home reading this thinking
"How awesome. More crap."

There is nothing wrong with being hung up on rugs. My job used to be buying rugs all day every day. Best job ever!

OK, the last remark made me laugh out loud, sitting in the airport with a huge bag of stuff I picked up at GoodWill while visiting my parents.

Good thing we don't have handy access to junk stores every day.
