Checka checka out...

Hey everyone! Come over here and visit me...

I am over at Trissta's blogging a "Chic Tip of the Week". I'm talking crazy talk, like how to renovate your house with paint.
Stop over and say hello to Trissta, give her a follow, if you don't already (it makes us bloggers do cartwheels when you do), and see my pit of despair in various stages of undone-ness.

Speaking of paint, check out what Colleen over at Lemon Drop Dreams just cranked out...
She emailed me this, and I was like "WHAT! Go girl!!"
I actually inspired this... I feel like a proud blog parent or something!  I am always amazed when one of my tutorials actually work.   She whipped this up this past weekend and made me super proud.

And speaking of inspired, thanks Nick Olsen. After obsessing over his H.B. space, I finally hit the tipping point and picked up a paint brush and painted the molding on my cabinets and bookshelves. Bitch of a job, I must say. And I had to wait until night to do it and all the caffeine to leave my system so I had a steady hand...

took like FOREVER!
(excuse the slew of lousy phone pics)
It belongs to this bitch of a room...

I hate this room. It totally owns me.  And my kids trash it daily.

BUT I have been busy and PMS-ing all weekend long.
It has been painted, pillows are "in progress" (my sewing machine died and needs to go to the sewing machine hospital where it can hopefully be revived), and a lot of stuff still needs to be messed with.
I couldn't find orange zebra fabric in stock so I painted my own fabric on an old Ikea curtain and upholstered my ottoman (no sew- machines dead- impatient).  I have someone coming tomorrow to strip and wax the old floor back to white.  Couch were cleaned today.
Stuff is happening, finally. Inspiration is a good. Stay tuned...

Wait, you mean to tell us that you get low on energy? I would NEVER believe it based on the amazing projects you churn out regularly. LOVE the painted cabinets--definitely worth it!!

Your room is looking fabulous! And yes, that Nick Olson room blew me away too. Love your homage to it. And that zebra ottoman is killing me. I need one of those!
