If Willy Wonka had a Beach House...

it would be awesome, and I'd be all over that golden ticket.
It would also most definitely be decorated by Diamond Baratta.

I was suppose to finish my New England Beach House posting, but it is way too raw and rainy here right now.  Needed to change locations, so I am opting for some over-the-top-lily-gilding chromatics.

Bring on the absinthe laced drinks & Oompa-Loompahs in grass skirts please...

DB does color and scale like no one else.  More is More.  Its like non stop fireworks...

And they also trick out traditional.

 Your Grandma on Steroids...

 And a massive trellis explosion.
And finally, this has nothing to do with beach month except for the fact that I'd do this sh*t if I had a beach house,  my all time fave Diamond Baratta in the form of "staircase"...

This just made me so happy. I love it when design is both good and cheerful (a little dash of crazy doesn't hurt either!)

Willy Wonka was one of my favorite movies growing up (the old one, not the new one) I still wish they could come up with lickable wallpaper. How cool would that be?!?

I love everything except the mural and the "grandma on steroids" look, but I feel like all of this will date fast. I suppose that's not an issue because they probably have enough money to redecorate (although I hope they donate everything and don't add to the landfill in five years).

And I'm assuming that this isn't all the same house, right? The first two seem to go together and all the others seem to be different houses. I hope so, anyway, because that's be TOO much!

I saw him speak at the AD Home Show and his Miami beach house is like a living piece of pop art. There should be a warning that it might induce seizures. =>

Wow finding myself totally into that "grandma on steroids" look haha. Not for my own home, but I'm just sorta mesmerized by it!
