This Mother's Day I would love nothing more than to putter around the yard and fix up the planters & garden, so I would love a couple big bags of potting soil and some annuals. And maybe one of these to hang on the porch and drink some wine in once I'm done... Happy wife = Happy life or something like that, right?
Seriously though, I am dying over that chair and could imagine lounging in it on a breezy afternoon. I am a pretty hyper go-go person, but I could settle down for one of those.
I found actual instructions on how to make this birdcage chair here. I am pretty ambitious, but I have my limits and know I would just have a big pile of string taking up residence in my house and a few new swear words under my belt.
Happy Weekend!!!

Girl, I have just spent the better part of the last hour going through your blog...yeah, I'm obsessive like that!(c: But I am so freakin' impressed it is *amazing*. So glad to have found the blog...happy mother's day, my dear, I hope you get your "happy wife" weekend (c;
I knew I liked you!! That chair and the husband refilling the wine glass all day sounds like the perfect Mother's Day! Perhaps a little cheese and baguette to go along?! I guess I'm not much of a gardener so I skipped that part:) Enjoy your day!
I just flipped through the photos of your home. You are AMAZINGLY talented. I love your use of patterns and colors and how they are both soothing and give off the Wow factor at the same time. Great job!
I'm sure that DIY would be a hot mess if I attempted it. But, that Anthro chair is a-mazing. If that shows up on Mother's Day, then you know you are a good momma. But you're a good mom no matter what. Enjoy the day!
The birdcage chair would be so relaxing to swinging under a large tree with a book or to just take a nap. Much more fun than the standard hammock chair.
That's just a little more than I think my wife is willing to do. She's really into micro macrame. So I don't see her taking on something so large. But I do like the first one.
