Kid proof. <br /><br />3. Yes to recovering ottoman. Think ethic trim that shizz up. <br /><br />4. If you go gallery wall, make the pieces of different scale and shape, and avoid clutter. You change one thing and then you're in design hell because other things MUST change to accommodate that one design element. I would start with easy changes that could make a big impact - like changing the throw pillows (of course, that requires finding the perfect fabric, another dilemma) and painting your wall.
