My favorite flower, the peony, began blooming in my yard this weekend. I can't begin to tell you how giddy that makes me. There are bouquets all over my house in every room and they smell FABULOUS!
I'm going to completely date myself here, but as a kid I used to watch the Family Feud circa host Richard Dawson. I always wanted one of those the bunches of lollipops he gave out and these totally remind me of them.
Now if only they lasted longer!

I'm with you on this - peonies are absolutely my favorite flowers. They look cute in bud here too. As you say, a nice start to the week...
