Last night an I came home to a husband with the stomach flu, so I got him set up with some toast and ginger ale, put the kids to bed and camped out on the sofa. I caught up with a bunch of work and then did something I haven't done in ages. I read a magazine cover to cover (while enjoying a gin & tonic)- heaven!
Cheryle had given me some of her favorite reads from her holiday vacation week, and best was the February Veranda. Lets just get to the meat, shall we?
Dying over these walls, and ceiling, and curtains. I am never going to finish my office because I keep seeing more shit I want to do.
Windsor Smith's spread. Her game room in Ralph Lauren's Bone Black just does it for me.
Love me some high contrast.
This painted starburst mirror. And the hand painted ikat walls are pretty slick too.
These club chairs...
And that ottoman. It has my wondering if I can turn the queen mattress in the guest room /office into a giant tufted one. It can double as my lounge spot for spreading out paperwork and maybe I can throw a mattress pad on top for when guests arrive.
Also, the navy and black theme and that chair.

that issue of veranda was actually the first ive ever read - but when i saw the gorgeous cover i had to buy it immediately! love that ottoman!
I pretty much DIE for that ottoman plus the ceilings in picture #1! Can I just move in?!
I LOVE EVERYTHING!!! Especially #1!
I'm sorry your husband is sick, but yeah for a gin and tonic magazine night!! I think we need those every now and again.
Ugh it's all so cool! This doesn't look like veranda at all. I'm going to have to get a copy!
I thought the latest issue of Veranda was really good - sometimes I think it's just okay! I love the blue and white dining room!
My plans tonight are similar to what you did last night, sans the sick hubby, who will be off playing poker - I'm going to light a fire, sit back and read some magazines with a big glass of wine in one hand!
(If I can ever get out of blog land that is!)

Good stuff indeed! Love the Windsor Smith room. And the magazine/G&T/alone time sounds heavenly:)
