Comment ce dit "cabana" ?

I've decided to dedicate this week to outdoor living spaces. 

I have had this cabana saved in my image file for quite some time. I can't remember the site it came from, just that it was a vacation rental site and this cabana is located in France somewhere. Not too shabby. 

My favorite thing about this cabana, besides that its somewhere along the French countryside, is the grass roof (inside needs a better rug and some zhushing). 

Makes me want some champagne with a drink umbrella.

My favorite "room" of my house

Its not technically in my house, its my covered porch.  I had a great balmy Easter and spent most of the day puttering in my yard and fixing up my porch.  We live in this space once the weather warms up, so we want it to be as multifunctional as possible.

Its right on the back corner of my house and gets a great breeze from the ocean down the street.

I hung my mosquito netting back up (I HATE bugs).

I also found a home for my cool lantern.  I was editing my inside and most of it came out here.

Note the rug from my kitchen.  I just couldn't handle cleaning it constantly with all my kids spills.

Where I lounge with a mag and mojito...

I hot glued this mirror together out of some giant scallop shells I sprayed gold and a random octagonal mirror...

Now, if only the weather would warm back up I could enjoy this space!

I want a garden party!!!

I found these images at Haute Khuuture and it immediately brought out my inner Veruca Salt.

 I so want to do this (or have someone do this for me *hint*).

I have a big fence in my backyard that I would be the perfect backdrop for tons of mirrors.

 I also love the white cushions, even though I know a bird would poop on them with my luck.

I spied this pergola attached to a wee poolhouse and thought it was so charming. I love pergolas for the instant character they give a space or structure. We added one to our current house and it beefed up a once wimpy deck. I also love the feel of the outdoor room they create, perfect for dining or sipping a cocktail while enjoying a summer breeze.
