Tweaking...

I have been busy freshening up the painted Ikat Chevron in the entry.  It needed to be brightened...
AFTER

Added some greens and pinked up the lavenders.
More spring, Less winter.

P.S.
The bathroom wall has a coat of primer, and Madame Butterfly is moving in shortly.

Reader's Room and a big THANKS!

First off I'd like to thank Blue Hydrangea, Honey & Fitz, Bromeliad Living , Full House and Me, You & a Wiener for featuring me on their blogs and all you readers for your sweet comments. It made my week and totally lifted my spirits.  THANK YOU!!!  I am always so impressed with the blogging community and how supportive you all are. I also got to meet and discover so many new readers and blogs in the process, which I think is so exciting.
I just wanted to share with you a photo one reader sent me in reference to my last post about Diane Bergeron's work.  (I really love when you guys send me pictures, and I'm thinking of making this a weekly feature. What do you think? If you have any great spaces you'd like to show off send me an e-mail, the link is at the upper right on my blog.) Here, Marybeth used the same rug in her daughter Claire's Austin apartment...
Didn't she do a great job?  I really love the pop of magenta pink with all the blue (a color combo I am determined to use in my own home.) She found the most of these pieces, including the fab rug at the Wisteria Outlet in Dallas... I SO wish I had one near me! The couch is a floor sample from Crate and Barrel (I have to give a shout out to my niece Ashley who works there), and that great magenta pillow she got on sale at Anthropologie. I love a women that knows how to get a good deal!  Claire is a lucky girl with a super chic pad.
 Thanks for sharing Marybeth!

GIVEAWAY! Chevron Kidney Pillow

AS promised I have a giveaway, my first giveaway actually... this great aqua and cream chevron kidney pillow with a pleated grosgrain edge.  It was made by my talented friend Cheryle Rhuda.  She has a fantastic workroom in Beverly, MA called Window Treatments and the Whole 9 Yards,
and does quite a bit of sewing for me.
You will get to meet Cheryle soon, we are working on a short "how to" video for you guys.  Hopefully that will be up tomorrow.

All you need to do to enter is say hello in the comments and follow my blog. Winner will be announced Monday morning!

Oscar de la Renta + Lee Jofa =

About time! Just check out that fabric on the right. I'm smitten* I want.
Love the colors!  Its bold, got a great palette. Can't wait to see it in person and see the other colorways.
If you haven't seen this months Elle Decor, here is a peek at Oscar de la Renta's new line of fabrics for Lee Jofa. His creative director is Miles Redd, so you know its gonna knock socks. Not available until this summer... Boo! Tease! I'm way too impatient.
Check out the pleated silk and the chevron made from ribbons and linen...
I'm feeling all tingly.

If you don't have a copy here is what you are missing...

Also has a rug line for Elson & Co. and furniture through Century.
Rock on old man!

Check it out...

Just wanted to share this colorful site with you. Atlanta based Stacey Sheron's Staceage is a wonderful place to escape to when you need a break from beige reality, its like Candyland for grownups. Her mission statement sums it up quite nicely...

Check out some of her furniture, fabric, wallpaper, trims and (coming soon) rugs...

Things I'd like to own...

This Jonathan Adler chair...

These wallpapers from Design Your Wall. Would love to use the glass beaded one as a backsplash, behind shelves in a glass doored cabinet or to glam up a bathroom.

Saw this mirror at Ballard Designs , bright and fresh and I love the octagonal design. Also comes in black.

The chevron rug is from West Elm, big fan of the Chevron Stripe!
