I have a plan/ Winning

I won something folks! I never win things, but I finally did and is it ever good. I won Elizabeth's awesome giveaway from Modern 24/7 last week and it just arrived.  Thank you Elizabeth, I will send cartwheel pictures! Check out these gorgeous KW pillows from Sferra.  LOVE THEM!

Whats the deal with the New Yorker poster? Well I found that a few days ago (cracked the glass too in my usual excited & spastic state). I'm originally from NY and have always loved this Steinberg print, just wasn't sure where to put it.

Don't they all look happy together? I thought so. They all want to hang out with me in my bedroom which is perfect because I have been wondering what I was gonna do with this big baby...

So I think I'm gonna paint it gray or black, mm maybe white. But its gonna join its friends above once I save up for a king size mattress set.   

I do have a plan for the rest of the set. The ginormous dresser (needs some paint love) is in my sun room grounding my ginormous sunburst mirror. My poor sun room is in rough shape. The winter was not kind and we have lots of water damage. Needs major help. Everything is getting repainted.

The nightstand went in the boys room, and the mirrors are eventually going in the master bath once its renovated, don't hold your breath on that one.  I have so much painting to do its ridiculous and I don't know when I'm gonna get to it, but its really not that bad a problem to have in the grand scheme.

I'm off to go hug some pillows!

oh the agony and the ecstacy

*Update:I just want to clarify to anyone who read this and thought I ripped a SOLD tag off that I didn't, nor would I ever.
I ripped the PRICE tag off to bring to the register, it wasn't sold or even on hold yet.
I tossed and turned all night dreaming about that Pagoda bedroom set from Salvation Army. It was torture. I had to go back to Sal's this afternoon to pick up a sideboard I purchased the day before. Part of me was hoping it was gone so I wouldn't have to look at it, another part just wanted to see it one more time.

My husband called as I entered the store, and I told him I was stalking furniture. Then he said the magic words "If you really like it that much just buy it." Wha-Whattt?! Ok. If it was still there I would take it home, clean it, pat it, tell it what a good pagoda set it was daily...if. It was now after 1:00. They had been open for hours, someone must have called, came in by now.

I quickly walked through the store towards the front, heart racing, there it was... but will there be a SOLD tag on it.? Nope. I ripped the for sale ticket off and went to the check out. My hands were shaking, I could barely sign the slip and write my name. Shaking. The clerk must have thought I was on something. I was. Vintage Thomasville Pagoda Bedroom set. I'm sorry to anyone that wanted it and didn't get it, I really am. I honestly didn't expect it to still be available or to have a verbal OK from my husband to load up the house with

 a(nother) giant load of furniture.

Hello you big lovely beast!

While hitting up the Salvation Army in Saugus I found this unbelievable deal. Check out the vintage pagodalicious bedroom set. I nearly died and tried justifying why I needed it. It was marked down to $299 from $549 too. Was this a test of spending wills? Maybe I could just take a little piece of it home with me. No! They wouldn't split the set, because I could have crammed the nightstands in the back of my car and balanced the mirrors on each side of my poor 3 year old. Check out the bed though. I wanted that too, even though its a king and I have a queen. I really don't think I could split the set up, its all so fabulous.

If you live near Boston, RUN and get it.

Please.
