Outdoor Room

I just love a covered porch + curtains. Instant outdoor room.
Its going to be gorgeous here in Boston this weekend so I plan on taking full advantage of the lovely weather and moving on to some outdoor projects.  We have a covered porch that I plan on adding some curtains to.  I've had a bolt of an outdoor black and white awning stripe kicking around, and I found some super inexpensive mosquito netting at IKEA yesterday (a pair for $4.99, and they are over 100" wide!).  I'm a bug magnet, my husband doesn't understand my pain because they never touch him, so this made my day.
Black mosquito netting... very chic!
Or your standard white...
Simply beautiful...
An old favorite...

And a great look for the summer holiday...

Hope your weekend is FABULOUS and you get a chance to get outside!

Easy Breezy

The forecast for 50- 60 degrees for the next week has me so excited for
warmer weather. Although I'm not in beach mode quite yet, these images definitely make me look forward to sand, bare feet and mojitos. I just love the driftwood starburst mirror.
take a close look...

A great, cheap DIY. I have a huge 3' round piece of mirror that I have been trying to figure what to do with. Hmmmm...I might just take a walk to the beach this week to do some scouring.

Love the globe collection. What a statement, and the colors are beautiful.

Cottage Style

What I have been up to

So this is the after.... Sorry the pictures are out of order, can't figure that out yet.
My inspirations... Love the beachy cottage feel of these houses as well as the pergola. This is our house below during renovations. We added new windows, a pergola to the left side over the deck, a fence and sodded the front yard and took down a big tree. The previous owners had hot topped it... there was enough parking for 8 cars! Still contemplating shutters.
